What can be engineered around your UAV?

  • Canopy sizing around MTOW, geometry and mission profile
  • Deployment mechanism and mounting interface
  • Flight-controller / trigger integration
  • Auto trigger logic for flight-critical failure scenarios
  • Manual trigger / RC command integration
  • Drop-test planning, iteration and integration documentation

Recovery performance is airframe-specific

Final canopy area, deployment arrangement and descent performance are determined from the actual UAV configuration and mission requirements. The figures shown here are representative partner case-study data, not a universal specification.

For a project-specific recommendation, share your MTOW, airframe type, dimensions, expected failure modes and mission profile.

Last-mile urban delivery · BVLOS
Logistics drone recovery

Deployed on a 10 kg last-mile logistics UAV operating BVLOS over urban corridors. The recovery system was sized for the payload-carrying descent envelope and integrated with the flight controller for autonomous trigger on flight-critical failure.

What we do

Engineered for the mission.

Designed & manufactured in-house

India's first parachute designers and manufacturers for UAVs — canopy, deployment and mounting under one roof.

BVLOS-compliant

Meets DGCA recovery requirements for beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations.

FC integration

Works with Pixhawk, Cube, ArduPilot and PX4 flight controllers.

Auto + manual trigger

Fires on FC failure, geofence breach, or RC command.

Drop-tested

Every unit inspected and drop-tested before dispatch.

Integration support

Documentation, wiring guides and mission-specific tuning included.

Integration

From airframe assessment to packed unit.

DronesZ coordinates the UAV-side requirement while the recovery partner handles system engineering and manufacturing.

01
Airframe assessment

MTOW, geometry and mission profile review.

02
Sizing calculation

Canopy area, drag coefficient and terminal-velocity targets.

03
Design & customization
